Views from an ELB newbie

East London Brewing Company has a new member of staff :)

I’ve just started working here as part of the Kickstarter scheme. For those unfamiliar with this, it is a great, new initiative for young people like myself to gain valuable experience and excellent skills in the workplace. It’s probably the one positive that has come out of this dreadful year (so far!), as allowing for young people with little to no experience to gain these skills is life-changing. A six-month placement, the government provides funding to companies such as this one to get 16-24 year olds in the workplace.

As of right now, I’ve been working here (and drinking plenty of beer) for one month. As their new Sales and Admin Assistant, my job involves general office administration as well as dealing with beer sales and enquiries, and it’s been very enjoyable so far. One particular perk of the job includes a beer tasting every Monday, which I can't complain about .

Working here, I’ve discovered the great relationship ELB has with local and London-based pubs, bars and restaurants, and it’s great knowing that small, local businesses such as our own are supported by others in the community and vice versa. One example of this would be Breakfast En Bread, a fabulous delivery service of, as the name suggests, breakfast in bread. We’ve teamed up with them in creating The East London Brewery Box  where you can enjoy our Jamboree Golden Ale and George in the East Amber Lager with a choice of two of their tasty Breakfast En Breads. And don’t worry, they also provide gluten free, vegan and vegetarian options that we here at ELB plan to take full advantage of.
