Walthamstow Beer Project 2017

Posted By Claire Ashbridge-Thomlinson in News

Over the past few years, the Walthamstow Beer Project has proven to be a winner with beer aficionado's and green fingered gardeners alike, and this years event was bigger and better than ever. So much so, that we had enough hops to make two, yes TWO beers!

If you're unfamiliar with the concept, this is the 4th year that ELB & Walthamstow Beer Project have collaborated. It encourages members to grow and then bring their hop bines to the brewery for a day of picking & brewing! The hops used are Prima Donna hops, which offer a rich citrus flavour.

At the time of writing, the two brews, aptly named Walthamstow PaleWalthamstow Dark, are fermenting away nicely, conditioning themselves to quaffable perfection.

The launch party, as always, will be held at Ye Olde Rose & Crown, Walthamstow where both beers will be available. Make sure you follow our Twitter @eastlondonbrew for all the details going forward.

The beer will then be available in bottles via our online bottle shop after the launch!
