The Story Behind the Beer

Two Palms takes its name from the pair of Canary Island date palms standing outside Hackney Town Hall on Mare Street. Not exactly where you’d expect a tropical icon. But then, Hackney’s never been big on doing what’s expected. Here, we give a nod to the legendary Loddiges Nursery, which once grew one of the world’s greatest collections of palms and exotic plants right here in East London.
